Dundee United were unable to overcome their recent drubbing at the hands of Celtic as they drew 1-1 with lowly Ross County on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, Gary Mackay-Steven broke the deadlock in the 51st minute with a deadly strike from the edge of the area that nestled in the top left corner of the net.

However, the home side could not find another and were made to pay as Ross County equalised through Richard Brittain with nine minutes remaining to ensure the points were shared.

The result sees Peter Houston’s men remain seventh on the table while County overtake St Mirren to move up into 10th.
