Two late goals from Eoin Doyle steered Hibernian to a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League on Wednesday.

Victory in the rearranged match at Rugby Park saw Hibernian move above Kilmarnock into seventh place on the table.

Scott Robertson opened the scoring for Hibs toe-poking David Wotherspoon’s free-kick past Killie goalkeeper Cammy Bell at the back post from close range.

Kilmarnock hit back in the second half, equalising when Lee Ashcroft headed across goal from the back post and into the net to mark his debut in spectacular fashion.

But the visitors regained the lead when Doyle struck tw8ice in four minutes.

Alex Harris powered the ball across the face of goal and Doyle stretched to poke the ball home, claiming his 10th goal of the season in the 86th minute.

With moments left on the clock, and Kilmarnock pressing, Doyle struck again, shooting low into the net from the penalty spot to seal the win for Hibs.
