According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly agreed a deal to sign Spain international Luis Garcia from Espanyol.
After successful negotiations on Wednesday night between the player’s agent Juanma Lopez, and Espanyol’s lawyer Vicente Montes, the player is set to finalize personal terms with the North London club before flying to England next week to undergo a medical.
Benfica’s Quique Sanchez Flores was also keen on signing the 27-year-old, who was Espanyol’s top scorer in the league last term with 13 goals, but the lure of the Premier League has proved too strong to resist.
Ramos has been linked with several Espanyol players in the past, including Carlos Kameni and Daniel Jarque, but Luis Garcia was the first to benefit from an official advance.
