Spurs set for double swoop

(GSM) – Tottenham Hotspur are tipped to sign Palermo’s star duo Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani. The Italian club’s president Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed he would accept a bid of £28m for the pair.

“The interest from Tottenham in Cavani and Kjaer is real. Negotiations are taking place and the total price for them both would be about €35m (£28m)”, said Zamparini.

Kjaer has attracted great interest from several clubs including Manchester City and their neighbors United. The Denmark center-back is rated at about £12.5m. Reports in Italy have also claimed that Steve McClaren’s Wolfsburg have made an offer to the 21-year-old.

Meanwhile Uruguay striker Cavani has also interested City and Spurs, but a high £25m price tag has put off the forward’s many suitors.

23-year-old Cavani wants a move to Internazionale but Zamparini said: ‘On Cavani, I can confirm that he is interested in joining Inter, but (their president Massimo) Moratti has never asked me about the player.’
