Spurs in talks with Schneiderlin

French daily newspaper Le 10 Sport has revealed that Tottenham have opened talks for Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hopes to get reunited with the player at White Hart Lane and he has instructed the club officials to try and lure the France international to North London.

Tottenham representatives are currently negotiating with both the midfielder and his employers, and it appears an agreement might be reached in the coming weeks.

Southampton have already stayed without Lambert, Lallana and Shaw, while it looks as though Lovren and Schneiderlin are nearing the exit door as well.

The 24-year-old has seen his stock rise a great deal over the last couple of years, having helped the Saints go from League One to the Premier League in just two seasons.

Schneiderlin is now regarded as one of league’s top midfielders and he even made one appearance for France at the 2014 World Cup.
