Steve Mandanda set for Marseille exit

French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Marseille aim to cash in on star player Steve Mandanda at the end of the current campaign.

OM will probably see both Andre-Pierre Gignac and Andre Ayew leave on a free transfer next summer, but they seem to plan to offload another high earner.

According to L’Equipe, Marseille chiefs are desperate to sell goalkeeper Steve Mandanda in the summer transfer window.

The France international has a gross salary of €3.6 million and with his contract due to expire in just over a year, a summer exit appears on the horizon.

Marseille have told the player’s agents to start looking for a new club for their client and it appears that English Premier League could be his next destination.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been showing interest in the 29-year-old, but it remains to be seen whether they will come forward with an official proposal in the summer.
