Former Bulgaria international Hristo Stoichkov says Real Madrid are losing their nerve and has backed Barcelona to retain the La Liga title.
League leaders Real defeated Atletico Madrid 4-1 on Wednesday to move four points clear of Barca, but Stoichkov, who enjoyed two spells at Barcelona between 1990 and 1998, thinks the Catalan club will come on top.
“Real Madrid look nervous and are under pressure. This can only benefit Barcelona, who are in fine form and will not spill any more points,” Stoichkov was quoted as saying by Sport.
“I will always back Barcelona to win the league title. The title is theirs if they win all their remaining games.”
Reigning champions Barcelona visit Levante on Saturday, before hosting Real Madrid in a potentially decisive Clasico on April 21.
