According to report carried by the BBC Sport, Stoke City has completed the signing of Southampton defender Andrew Davies for a fee of about £1.3 million
The 23-year old has penned a four-year contract with the Premiership outfit just eight months after joining Southampton.
The former England Under-21 international can play at right-back or in central defense is Stoke’s sixth signing of the summer and judging from the Potters opening day loss will be a welcomed addition to a backline that conceded three from Bolton.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis said, “He is a good young player who has got ability and some Premier League experience.” And he hopes Davies will not be the last new face to arrive at the club.
He also said, “We need to get players in right across the board, and we’re working our socks off to try and do that.”
“We’re looking for people who’ve got the experience that maybe one or two of the others haven’t got.”
