Strinic reveals Napoli agreement

Croatian defender Ivan Strinic has confirmed that he will join Italian giants Napoli in the upcoming transfer window.

Napoli plan to sign another left-sided defender seeing as Faouzi Ghoulam is about to leave for Africa Cup of Nations and the Azzurri have made the Croatia international their number one target.

With Strinic’s contract expiring in a matter of days, the Serie A side have been in advanced talks with the player’s representatives and they appear to be on the verge of reaching an agreement.

The 27-year-old has moved to reveal that he will soon become a Napoli player, bar any surprises.

“It’s true, I am about to sign a contract with Napoli, but not everything has been defined,” Strinic told Sportske Novoski.

According to the Croatian media outlet, the defender will be signing a four-year contract worth around €1.5 million per season.

Napoli resume their Serie A campaign on 6th January as they visit Cesena, with the Azzurri priced at 1/3 to emerge victorious.
