Competition: Ligue One
Market: Cavani to stay at PSG
Odds: 1/5 @ 888 Sport
PSG and Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani has been linked with a move away from the French club this summer, with his World Cup performances having been somewhat questionable too. The 27-year-old scored 16 goals in 30 games last season, but failed to hit the back of the net with 83% of his shots.
It’s such profligacy that has led many to believe he will be seeking out a move elsewhere in Europe, with Manchester United, Chelsea and AC Milan having previously been interested in his signature before he moved to France.
However, it does appear likely he’s willing to stay in France, with 888 Sport giving odds of 1/5 for the Uruguayan striker to be playing with Paris Saint-Germain when the next season starts. He scored just one goal in this summer’s World Cup for his country, and has been critical of the decision to continue playing him out wide instead of through the middle as he likes.
