Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to address his limited attacking options with a January swoop for Daniel Sturridge, reports say.
Talks with Chelsea over bringing Sturridge to Anfield are believed to be at an advanced stage, with Liverpool prepared to pay 12 million pounds for the England international.
After coming close to making a loan switch to the Reds over the close season, the 23-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge this season.
Joining Sturridge could be Blackpool winger Tom Ince, who Liverpool sold to the Championship club for 250 thousand pounds last year.
A sell-on clause means the Reds will benefit from a discounted transfer fee, but still have to accept a loss of close to six million pounds.
