Dutch giants Ajax’s head coach Martin Jol has refused to entertain offers for highly-rated striker Luis Suarez.
The Uruguay international has attracted the attention of some of Europe’s elite clubs after hitting 22 goals and providing 14 assists in a side that struggled in the Eredivisie last season and ultimately failed to qualify for the Champions League.
The 22-year-old is believed to be frustrated that he will be unable to prove himself on the biggest stage in European football next season, but Jol is determined not to bow to the pressure to sell.
“I say that he can’t leave us, he will stay,” Jol told De Telegraaf newspaper.
“Even if a club offers us 30million euros or so, Suarez will not leave Ajax.”
