Sunderland have confirmed the signings of Valentin Roberge, Cabral and Modibo Diakete.
The trio will all arrive at the club on free transfers at the beginning of July, and are the first new additions under the management of Paolo Di Canio.
The 44 year old is keen to rebuild the squad having narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League next season, and has acted quickly to make adjustments.
Centre back Roberge signs from Portuguese side Martimo, where he made 27 league appearances last season, while midfielder Cabrel has just been released from FC Basel, who he helped to the Europa League semi-finals.
A number of clubs had been linked with defender Diakite, who has spent the last seven seasons with Lazio, though he has chosen to move to the Stadium of Light.
All three players were approached following the advice of newly appointed director of football Robert De Fanti and chief scout Valentino Angeloni.
