Sunderland starlet in high demand

Sunderland youngster Joel Asoro is on the radar of a plethora of top European sides, according to Swedish newspaper Expressen.

The 17-year-old, who recently joined the Black Cats from Brommapojkarna, was handed his Premier League debut few weeks back, and he is already generating plenty of interest.

Asoro starred for Sweden Under-21 side against Spain yesterday evening and it has now been revealed that he was at the centre of attention of quite a few high-profile scouts.

According to Expressen, the likes of Valencia, Villarreal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, PSG, Inter Milan and AC Milan all had their representatives present at the Swedbank Stadion in Malmo.

Capable of operating as either central midfielder or forward, Asoro impressed to score 12 goals in 16 appearances for Sweden Under-17 side, and he is now a regular starter for the Under-21 team despite being up between three and four years younger than most teammates.
