Sunderland has approached Tottenham with offers for four of their players as reported by SkySports News.
Steed Malbranque, aged 28, Pascal Chimbonda, aged 29, Younes Kaboul, aged 22 and Teemu Tainio, aged 28, are the men reportedly wanted by Black Cats boss Roy Keane.
The Black Cats have yet to comment on the reports, but despite Sunderland’s relative quietness in the market, it is known that Roy Keane is looking for new talent, especiall in the wake of the injury to striker Kenwyne Jones.
Keane did reveal earlier on Thursday that he felt by next week there would be ‘plenty of new faces’ at the Stadium of Light.
