Liverpool have announced that Suso will spend the upcoming season on loan with La Liga outfit Almeria.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough year at Anfield last term, making 20 appearances in total after being handed his debut in a September UEFA Europa League fixture.
However, his involvement was reduced following the January arrivals of Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge, and the youngster has now headed back to his native Spain in search of first-team action.
Suso recently starred at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup, playing a prominent role as Spain reached the quarter-finals.
He has also twice been capped at Under-21 level by his country, but has yet to be involved in Vicente del Bosque’s senior setup.
The former Cadiz starlet failed to score in his 20 outings under Brendan Rodgers last term.
And his chances of regular action in the 2013-14 campaign have been hampered by the signings of fellow attackers Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto.
Almeria sealed promotion to La Liga via the Segunda Division play-offs last season.
