Competition: Premier League
Market: Swansea to get relegated
Odds: 4/1 @ Ladbrokes
With Swansea City forward Michu looking set for a spell with Napoli on loan for a season, and last summer’s addition Wilfried Bony having made it clear to the club that he wants a move away from the Liberty stadium, Swansea could struggle this season.
Bony is being courted by Liverpool, who are trying to replace Luis Suarez after he left to join Barcelona for around £70M. Swansea did sign Bafetimbi Gomis this summer, but should he struggle to get off to a flying start in the Premier League, City could find themselves fight to stay in the division.
Ladbrokes are giving odds of 4/1 for Swansea to go down in 2014/15, as the loss of two influential attackers could prove too great for Garry Monk’s side. They finished with 42 points last season, four less than 2012/13. Bony contributed to 37% of Swansea’s league goals, so his exit could be a huge loss that they may fail to recover from.
Bet: Swansea to get relegated this season following Michu and Bony‘s imminent departure @ 4/1 with Ladbrokes >>
