Premier League strugglers Swansea City have a very difficult task in trying to overcome Arsenal tonight when they travel to the Emirates in the night-time fixture against the Londoners. But they are desperate for three points as City find themselves heavily embroiled in a relegation battle this season.
The Swans are 15th going into tonight’s game – four points clear of the drop – but should they lose to Arsenal, they will have played more games than all the sides around them, while 18th -placed Sunderland could overtake them should they win their games in hand. As a result, City are being given odds of 7/1 by Bet 365 to get relegated this season.
Their recent form gives them little hope of a turnaround too – winless in their last five league outings. Garry Monk’s men only have two wins from their last 16, and have conceded 27 goals in the process. It’s also worth noting, the Welsh side have beaten just one top-half side all season – Newcastle.
City lost to Arsenal 2-1 when the sides met earlier this season, and the bookmakers are predicting the feat to be repeated tonight, which could well spell disaster in their hopes for survival.
