Taarabt in talks with AC Milan; Wilshere wants Walcott to re-sign

Queens Park Rangers No. 10 Adel Taarabt has confirmed reports suggesting that his agent is currently in talks with AC Milan regarding a potential move to the San Siro, Sky Sports understands.

However, the in-form attacking midfielder insisted that a potential move to AC Milan depends on Robinho and Javier Pastore, who is being linked with a move to the Italian giants amid the exit talk surrounding Brazilian duo Alexandre Pato and the aforementioned Robinho.

“Me to AC Milan? My agent speaks with (AC Milan CEO, Adriano) Galliani, but my future depends on Robinho and Pastore,” Taarabt told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Milan aren’t going through a glorious period now, and they’re no longer a part of the top clubs, but making it big with the Rossoneri could open the door to huge clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona.”

Taarabt, 23, was on the verge of joining French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain in 2011, but has ruled out a move to the Parc des Princes after revealing a previous rift with the club’s sporting director Leonardo, who did not speak highly of the Morocco international coming after the failed negotiations between the two sides.

The 23-year-old would consider a move elsewhere in the English Premier League, but only if the destination is Old Trafford.

“I’d leave London only for Manchester United, the club of my dreams, where there is no No. 10,” said Taarabt.

“For Mr. Ferguson I’d also stay silent on the bench and I would work hard.”

Now then, where will Taarabt ply his trade come January? We shall know soon enough, with the transfer window scheduled to reopen on 2 January.

Wilshere wants Walcott to re-sign

Arsenal No. 10 Jack Wilshere, who just signed a new five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, is wishing that compatriot Theo Walcott will be the next Gunner so sign an extension at the club, with Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Carl Jenkinson and Kieren Gibbs having put pen to paper last week, Sky Sports reports.

Walcott’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has already urged the board to get the deal done ahead of the January transfer window, while simultaneously ruling out the sale of the 23-year-old England international in January.

“Everybody at the club wants Theo to re-sign. I’m always winding him up, saying ‘C’mon Theo, sign’,” Wilshere told The Sun.

“But that is something he has got to sort out. It is up to him and the club to reach an agreement and I hope they do.”

The in-form Walcott has bagged five goals and four assists in 14 league games this season, while adding six goals and three assists in five combined appearances in the Capital One Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

I’d be wary of Taarabt. While he’s in form at the moment, who knows when he’s going to lose it again. He’s quite temperamental and I have a feeling that if he doesn’t get a move away from QPR, he’s going to lose his desire.
A move away would probably be good for both player and team.
