Ter Stegen denies Man City link

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has denied claims that he has already accepted an offer from Manchester City for a summer transfer deal.

Premier League outfit have been linked with the 23-year-old Germany shot stopper in recent weeks as it was believed that Pep Guardiola was keen to add the talented keeper to the fold in order to boost competition for Joe Hart.

However, Barcelona goalkeeper who made an appearance in Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid has denied links with Manchester City.

“It is not true that I have signed a deal with Manchester City”, ter Stegen told Mundo Deportivo.

Ter Stegen has had a difficult season behind him as he is mostly used as a substitute for Claudio Bravo, who is Luis Enrique’s first choice in goal.

German international has been a regular in Cup matches and it is believed that he will be leaving Camp Nou in the summer in search for regular playing time.

“We will see what happens at the end of the season”, added Barcelona goalkeeper, who has also been on Liverpool’s radar for a while now.
