According to the Sunday Mirror, Thierry Henry was the subject of a sensational bid from Manchester United. The former Arsenal hero could have joined his former club’s nemeses had new Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola not blocked the move.
Now Henry will stay at Barcelona despite speculation that he will move to the United States which has surfaced in the recent weeks in various English tabloids.
The Sunday Mirror believes that Manchester United were willing to pay £10 million for the French striker as they look to bolster their attacking line-up. Now Sir Alex Ferguson will have to look elsewhere for the clinical finisher he wants in his team.
