Three Benfica players on Man United radar

Manchester United scouts have become regular visitors of Benfica’s games this season, according to reports from the Portuguese daily news outlet Abola.

The Premier League club’s representatives are constantly watching Benfica players and it is safe to assume that the Red Devils are likely to make a summer move perhaps for more than one player.

The first Benfica name associated with Manchester United is talented defender Victor Lindelof, who was expected to sign for the Old Trafford club back in January, but Abola claims that another two Benfica stars have gained great interest from Manchester United scouts.

Nelson Semedo is believed to be another defender Red Devils have been tracking over the past couple of months, with the right-back also attracting plenty of interest from the Spanish clubs Celta Vigo and Levante.

Manchester United are also thought to be monitoring Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.

The highly-rated Brazilian shot-stopper has been widely expected to join Manchester City in the summer, but it appears as if City’s neighbours are also eyeing the talented ‘keeper as a back-up for Real Madrid’s long-term transfer target David De Gea.
