Today’s Manchester City rumours

Just a few of today’s Manchester City rumours from the newspapers:

The Sun tells us that Valencia striker David Villa’s agent has flown to the UK for talks over a £60m move to Manchester City.

They also say that Mark Hughes is threatening to walk out on the club if the owners continue to try to have a say in team selection and tactics.

The Daily Mail reports that the club will definitely sign Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra and Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz in January and are also hopeful of bringing Barcelona’s Thierry Henry back to England.

On top of that, the Mail says that they are going to bid £15m bid for Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.

The Daily Mirror reports on one player actually leaving the club. They say that Lazio want to take midfielder Elano on loan in January with a view to a permanent transfer.

I’ll leave you to decide which, if any, of these reports are true!

one thing i can say is that ill believe all of these stories when i actually see Henry walk out on that pitch in a city shirt.
as for all of these other ‘targets’ i think it is outragous as we are being linked with every player on the face of the earth.
i also think that the papers are stiring things up a bit about Sparkey, but yes if the owners bring in players that he doesnt want then he will walk out of the club. if this is the case i will be really disapointed because i have 100% faith in him and not only that who would want to come to a club where the owners run it and dont have a clue about the current game. sounds a bit like what happened and west ham.
