Luca Toni has apologized for his behavour during last Saturday’s match against Schalke 04 (1-1). The Italian international was substitued at half-time and stormed out of the Allianz Arena almost directly, much to the annoyance of head coach Louis van Gaal. The striker feels sorry and apologised on Friday.
Toni apologized to almost everyone at Bayern. The players, the fans and the board. Everyone, except Van Gaal. The 32-year-old did mention his experiences with the Dutch manager.
“I’ve had four long months of inconveniences and misunderstandings with the present coach,” he said.
“I apologize to my teammates, the club and the fans,” Toni continued. “My impulsive and wrong behaviour last Saturday has no record in my professional career.”
The Bayern Munich board opted to slap Toni with a substantial fine earlier this week for his behaviour.
