Udinese have announced that attacking midfielder Gabriel Torje has joined La Liga outfit Granada on a season-long loan.
The Romania international only arrived at the Friuli last summer on a five-year contract from Dinamo Bucharest but Udinese are keen for him to secure more regular first-team football.
“Udinese Calcio announces that it has sold on a temporary basis (until June 30, 2013) the sporting rights of the player Gabriel Andrei Torje to the Spanish club Granada Club de Futbol,” a statement on the Serie A side’s official website read.
The 22-year-old Torje, who is known as ‘the Romanian Messi’, scored two goals and contributed one assist during 21 Serie A appearances for Francesco Guidolin’s team last season.
His move to Andalusia comes just a day after Udinese agreed to loan striker Antonio Floro Flores to the Liga outfit
