Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez confirmed that his squad are beginning to feel tired after their recent rigorous fixture schedule. “It depends on each player, but the doctor and the physio are working hard with him right now”.

About his fellow Spaniard Fernando Torres, Benitez was equivocal about his prospects for making this weekend’s Premier League fixture with Portsmouth. “He’s fit, but tired. So we will see,” the Liverpool manager explained. “It depends on him. We will chat to him in the training session today and we will see how he feels. Torres will be one of the big decsions”.
