SkySports reports that Tottenham are closing in on Manchester City’s Vedran Corluka.
The Croatian defender was signed last summer by Sven Goran Eriksson, who paid Dinamo Zagreb £8million for their star defender. Corluka enjoyed an excellent first season in the Premiership and has already established himself as one of the best right-backs in the league.
Following Pascal Chimbonda’s departure from the Spurs, the club is in need of a quality right-back to fill his void.
Fellow countryman Luka Modric was signed by Spurs this summer, and could prove to be a great incentive for attracting Corluka over so he can link up with his fellow countryman.
According to SkySports, there are currently ongoing discussions between the two clubs and a deal is said to be imminent.

You spelled Corluka as ‘Corulka’ 3 times. (and once as Chorluka)
Also, Chimbonda’s departure does not create a void in rightback. Spurs have Hutton & Gunter there.
