Today’s Daily Star reports that Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has asked the fans to give their keeper Heurelho Gomes a bit of a break after they gave him a round of sarcastic applause when he flapped at the ball at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
I understand where Harry is coming from and I understand all about damaged confidence and the effect the crowd can have on a player.
What I would say, however, is maybe the £7.8 million goalkeeper could give the fans a break by stopping flapping at the ball!
