Third-placed Trabzonspor extended their advantage over Galatasaray, beating Kayserispor 4-1 in Saturday’s only league game.
Early goals from Umut Bulut and Gokhan Unal gave Trabzonspor a comfortable 2-0 lead but Franco Cangele got one back from the penalty spot just before half time.
In the second half though, Gustavo Colman and Gohkan Unal went on to lead the home side to safety, 4-1.
Galatasaray lost 2-0 to last-placed Hacettepe SK a day earlier. The goals came from Patiyo Tambwe (58th) and Ibrahim Sahin (90th).
