Republic of Ireland bass Giovanni Trapattoni has risked the wrath of Tottenham boss Junade Ramos after urging Robbie Keane to leave White Hart Lane and join Liverpool. The Irish striker has recently been linked with a move to Anfield, although Tottenham rejected those rumours.
But Tottenham’s attempts to keep their player might come to nothing as Trapattoni wants his player to join a big club.
“I don’t know what is happening with Liverpool at the moment but I would be very happy for him (to move). I hope it happens for him because it will be a big challenge. It would be important for him and important for us.” Said Giovanni Trapattoni, according to the Daily Mail.
Now Tottenham face the daunting prospect of having to overhaul their attracting line up ahead of next season. Manchester United are thought to be on the trail of Keane’s strike partner, Dimitar Berbatov. This would leave Ramos with only Darren Bent as a recognized striker going into his first full season at Tottenham.
