(GSM) – Julio Baptista has denied rumors that he is looking to leave Roma in the January transfer window. The Brazilian is reportedly unhappy with the lack at first-team action, especially as this summer’s World Cup approaching.

The 28-year-old forward has only managed a single Serie A start this season and is reportedly wanted by champions Inter Milan.

But the Brazil international is under contract with Roma until June 2012 and insists he expects to remain in the Italian capital.

“I am calm about my future,” he told the club’s official website. “I expect to remain here.”

Baptista joined Roma from Real Madrid in the summer of 2008.
