Twente close in on Ghanaian hotshot

Dutch newspaper Voetbal International understands that Twente are on the verge of signing Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan Kwesi.

The youngster has had several trial spells with the Tukkers and he seems to have finally done enough to persuade the club chiefs to offer him a long-term contract.

Twente boss Steve McClaren was impressed by the player’s last trial that took part in September and has decided to add the player to the squad in the January transfer window.

Shadrach Eghan Kwesi played for the Dutch giants in the 2-1 friendly win over Osnabruck and proved he can be a big asset to the club in the future.

The Ghana Under-20 international is regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Africa and will now get a chance to further develop his skills in Dutch Eredivisie.

The 18-year-old’s current club Golden Boot Academy have established a partnership with Twente in the summer of 2011.
