Udinese want Francesco Lodi

Serie A outfit Udinese are being linked with a move for former player Francesco Lodi, La Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested.

The Friulani started the new season in great manner, defeating holders Juventus in Turin, but have since lost next three league matches.

And it appears that new coach Stefano Colantuono is still in the market for midfield reinforcements, in spite of the fact that the transfer window is now closed.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Udinese are showing interest in former Italy Under-21 international Francesco Lodi.

The 31-year-old is a free agent after leaving Parma and it is quite surprising that he has yet to find a new club having largely impressed in Italian Serie A over the last few years.

Udinese are also keeping an eye on former Cagliari star Daniele Conti, but the 36 year old reportedly prefers moving abroad having spent his entire career in Italy.
