United keeping an eye on Cole

According to The Metro, Manchester United may make a move for Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole after their attempts to sign Everton’s Leighton Baines seems to have fallen through.

It would certainly be a surprise move should United look to sign Cole as Chelsea are of course a big rival for the English Premier League title this season.

The 31-year-old has just one year left of his current deal at the London club and after winning a huge array of trophies at Stamford Bridge, could feel though it is time for a new challenge in his career.

Chelsea may be willing to sell the England international now as he could walk out for nothing at the end of next season, something that would frustrate supporters.

With Patrice Evra being the only left-back in Sir Alex Ferguson’s senior squad, it is sure to be an area that he will feel as though he needs to strengthen.

Cole is considered one of the best in his position in the world and would be a valuable addition to any squad with his experience of winning trophies.

It is a fascinating story to keep an eye on in this summer’s transfer window. What will happen?

We shall see.

We will rather sell Cole to any other club outside England than United, will they ever sell a player of thta stature to Chelsea?
