hot-transfer-newsUnited and Liverpool vie for Semih Kaya

Manchester United and Liverpool are among clubs keeping close tabs on Galatasaray defender Semih Kaya, according to A Bola.

The Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the player’s development and could decide to step up their interest in the summer.

With both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand set to quit Old Trafford, the Red Devils are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and the Turkey international is reportedly one of the first names on their hit-list.

Despite his fragile age, the 22-year-old is already considered a first team regular for both club and country, and has amassed a total of 73 Super Lig appearances for Cim Bom.

It was his impressive displays in the Champions League that saw Kaya catch the eye of Premier League’s top sides and England appears to be his most likely destination.

His suitors Manchester United host struggling Fulham on Sunday afternoon and they are 1/5 favourites to claim maximum points.

Diamanti agrees Guangzhou move

Bologna attacker Alessandro Diamanti is set to complete a switch to Guangzhou Evergrande, the Serie A club announced on their official website.

The two sides were initially unable to reach an agreement over the transfer fee, but they recently resumed talks and Felsinei ultimately accepted an offer from China.

The 30-year-old is, therefore, set to join Marcelo Lippi’s side and embark on a new chapter in his career.

“Bologna announces that it has reached an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande for the permanent transfer of Alessandro Diamanti,” a statement on Bologna website read.

Alessandro Diamanti has kick-started his career at Renato dall’Ara following a somewhat disappointing spell in England and even played himself back into the first team plans of Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.

The experienced forward has been in scintillating form since joining Bologna, having managed 20 goals and 16 assists in 83 Serie A outings.

Ebert leaves Real Valladolid

La Liga side Real Valladolid have revealed that star midfielder Patrick Ebert has decided to leave the club with immediate effect.

The German winger opted to quit Valladolid despite his contract running until June 2014 and the club is set to appeal for damages.

Ebert refused to play against Villarreal two weeks ago and has since been out of the first team squad.

The German midfielder arrived at the club from Hertha in the summer of 2012 and immediately developed into a key member of the side.

Ebert went on to score 9 goals and create 12 assists in 36 La Liga appearances, helping the club avoid the relegation tussle altogether.

The 26-year-old, however, opted for drastic measures in his attempt to leave for a bigger club and it remains to be seen whether he will suffer any consequences.
