According to Talk Sport, Manchester United target Alen Halilovic has played down talk linking him to the Red Devils in the transfer window.
The Croatian starlet has already been tipped by some as a similar kind of player to Lionel Messi, something he says is far too premature.
At just 16-years-old, Halilovic is certainly one for the future and many are now backing him to be one of the best players to come out of Croatia since Luka Modric came onto the scene.
He is currently plying his trade at Dinamo Zagreb though, and insists that is where his focus is at the moment.
Halilovic said: “Stories about Manchester United? I do not spend much time thinking about those rumours.
“Dinamo Zagreb will decide what will happen to me. All I have to do is try to improve as much as I can – everything else does not matter now.”
It seems as though Halilovic is saying all the right things, but of course if the English Premier League giants came in for him, it would be extremely tough to turn them down.
However, Zagreb will not be prepared to let one of their prized assets go on the cheap and it will take a substance offer from United for them to accept.
Could the Red Devils splash some serious cash on a teenager?
We shall see.
