United to renew interest in Sneijder

Manchester United are considering a £12m bid for Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder, the Express understands.

The Dutch international has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, with Chelsea also said to be keeping an eye on his situation.

The 29 year old, who’s title win with the Turkish giants was his fourth in four different European countries, has played just nineteen league games for the club having only arrived in Istanbul in January.

However, he is thought to have a £13m pound release clause in his contract, which could pave the way for United to make a move for the player they have been linked with for some time.

The Premier League champions are expected to dip into the transfer market when the window reopens having only brought in Marouane Fellaini during the summer.

David Moyes’ men currently sit in eighth place, and are now priced at 8/13 to finish in the top four.
