Napoli: Mazzarri to replace Donadoni

Roberto Donadoni`s time at Napoli seems up. Walter Mazzarri is targeted to replace Roberto Donadoni.

Napoli`s bad start of the season, the club lies 15th in the Serie A after seven matches, has become fatal for Donadoni who only worked at the San Paolo stadium for seven months.

The former national coach of Italy only managed to win four out of eighteen league games with Napoli.

48-year-old Mazzarri worked with Sampdoria until this summer. With his former club he reached the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup and the final of the Coppa Italia last season.

Update: Napoli confirms Donadoni`s dismissal

This afternoon Napoli announced that the club has sacked Roberto Donadoni. On the club`s official website, the South Italian club confirms the dismissal of the former national coach of Italy.

Donadoni is replaced by former Sampdoria coach Walter Mazzarri.
