Ruben Betancourt helped raise his profile further by netting in Uruguay’s 3-3 draw with Peru at the South American Youth Championship.
Betancourt, 19, has still to make his debut for Dutch club PSV Eindhoven but is considered one of the most promising talents in Uruguay’s youth ranks.
His abilities and appearance have already drawn comparisons with Napoli striker and countryman Edinson Cavani.
Uruguay twice came from behind to be leading in Thursday’s Group B match, before an 87th-minute penalty from Cristian Benavente secured a point for Peru.
