Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov has urged the club to change their transfer policy this summer.
Usmanov holds a 25 per cent stake in the Gunners.
The Russian wants the club to spend more money on new players this summer in order to bring success to the side.
Usmanov was disappointed over the performance of the Gunners after their defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League.
“At times it was a bit like men against boys,” said the Russian.
“Does the club need to take a step up? Of course. To be first in the world, to be first in Europe, you must have a much stronger bench.
“Look at United on Tuesday night. They had at least £100million in talent sitting on the bench.”
