Valencia agree deal for Enzo Perez; Veloso hints at Sporting return

hot-transfer-newsValencia agree deal for Enzo Perez

Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that Valencia have finally reached an agreement to sign Argentine midfielder Enzo Perez from Benfica.

Los Che have been hot on the trail of the experienced footballer for quite a while now, but they could not agree a deal with the Eagles in the summer transfer window.

The two parties have since resumed talks and Record now claims that Valencia owner Peter Lim was in Lisbon few days ago to sort out the final details.

As a result, Enzo Perez will be signing a long-term contract with the La Liga side in January, following in the footsteps of Andre Gomes and Rodrigo Moreno.

The 28-year-old has been performing at a very high level ever since he arrived from Estudiantes, making 69 league appearances and scoring 9 goals.

Perez featured in the final three games for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup, replacing Angel Di Maria in the starting line-up.

Veloso hints at Sporting return

Dynamo Kiev midfielder Miguel Veloso has made it clear that he would like to return to Estadio Jose Alvalade in the future.

The 28-year-old began his career at Sporting Lisbon, staying there until 2010, when he moved to Genoa.

Veloso left the Rossoblu in 2012 to join Dynamo Kiev, but it appears he is looking to leave Ukraine at the earliest opportunity.

And while a return to Italian Serie A is also an option, the experienced footballer has suggested that a second spell with the Lions could be on the cards.

“I would like to return to play in my country and for Sporting, no doubt about it,” Veloso confessed to O Jogo.

“It is my club, who did so much for me as a man and athlete.”

Miguel Veloso has spent last two years in Ukraine, featuring in 52 league matches for Dynamo, while he currently has 53 Portugal caps to his name.

Bas Dost coy on exit talk

Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost admits that he is unhappy with his status at Volkswagen Arena, thus adding fuel to speculation linking him with a January exit.

The 25-year-old hasn’t quite managed to make the desired impact since arriving from Heerenveen, and he has largely struggled for playing time this season.

Dost only made three substitute appearances in the league, playing just over half an hour in the Bundesliga, although he scored a very important goal in weekend’s triumph over Hannover.

Dost has moved to suggest he is far from happy at the lack of playing time, hinting that a January exit may be on the cards.

“Everyone wants to play, I do not play often. That’s why I am never satisfied,” Dost explained to Bild.

“You never know. I am enjoying my first goal. Then we can talk about other things.”

Bas Dost joined the Wolves in the summer of 2012 and has since scored 13 goals in 44 Bundesliga outings.
