Valencia agree deal for Napoli’s Vargas

AS has revealed that Valencia are set to complete the signing of Chilean forward Eduardo Vargas from Napoli.

Los Che have been actively searching for a new striker ever since the winter transfer window started and they seem to have found their man.

AS has learned that Valencia are set to sign Napoli’s Eduardo Vargas on loan until the end of the season.

The two clubs have agreed on conditions in principle and all that is left is for the transfer to be made official. Once the season ends, Valencia and Napoli will discuss turning the loan deal into permanent move.

Eduardo Vargas arrived at Stadio San Paolo from Universidad de Chile in January 2012, but having found his first team chances seriously limited, the 24-year-old moved on loan to Gremio one year later.

The Chilean did well in Brazil, scoring 7 goals in 24 league fixtures and is now hoping to have the same impact in Spanish La Liga.
