Valencia bid for Croatian starlets

Spanish giants Valencia are stepping up their efforts to recruit Hajduk Split duo Andrija Balic and Nikola Vlasic, according to Jutarnji List.

The two youngsters have shown a great deal of potential last season and they could be leaving Croatia for greener pastures as early as this summer.

Namely, Jutarnji List have learned that Valencia have submitted a €10 million proposal for the two footballers.

Los Che have already held several rounds of talks with the players’ representatives and they are widely expected to wrap up the double swoop in the coming weeks.

Hajduk would prefer to keep hold of their talented prospects, but the difficult financial situation means they cannot afford to reject such a good offer.

Nikola Vlasic, 17, has impressed in his first ever professional season, scoring 3 goals and producing as many assists in 27 league outings.

Andrija Balic, 17, managed 4 goals and 2 assists in mere 14 league appearances, proving he is rightly regarded as one of country’s hottest prospects.
