Valencia ponder Terry swoop

Spanish newspaper AS claims Valencia are thinking about launching an assault to sign Chelsea defender John Terry.

It is no secret los Che are looking to sign a new central defender in January, and they seem to be considering an ambitious swoop for the England international.

AS claims the player has been offered to Valencia and sporting director Braulio Vazquez is now considering making an official bid.

John Terry has entered the final year of his deal at Stamford Bridge, but it is highly unlikely he will be offered a contract extension following numerous incidents that only added to his bad image.

Valencia hope to bring the defender on loan in January with an option to buy, while a Bosman deal next summer is also an option, but should los Che decide to wait until his contract expires, they will surely face a stiff competition from other interested clubs.

John Terry has spent his entire career at Cheslea, making 379 Premier League appearances and scoring 28 goals.
