Valencia rekindle interest in Tonny Vilhena

La Liga strugglers Valencia are ready to launch a fresh assault on Feyenoord hotshot Tonny Vilhena, Superdeporte can reveal.

Los Che attempted to recruit the talented midfielder last summer, but the 22-year-old decided to remain at De Kuip and stay close to his mother during her serious illness.

Jeannette Vilhena passed away on 30th October 2016, with Feyenoord fans subsequently paying tribute to her in the league match against Zwolle.

It is believed that Tonny Vilhena is again ready to consider leaving the Dutch giants for greener pastures and Valencia appear to be leading the chase at the moment.

The good news is that the player’s contract at De Kuip is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning Feyenoord should be bracing for offers from top European clubs.

Since coming through the youth ranks at the club, Vilhena has scored 20 goals and set up another 16 in 169 competitive matches.
