Valencia to sell star trio

Catalan daily newspaper Sport claims that Valencia have decided to entertain offers for three star players in the January window.

Los Che have plans to rebuild the playing squad and they will first have to sell several star players before they can spend the cash on January targets.

According to Sport, Valencia will listen to offers for Joao Cancelo, Enzo Perez and Dani Parejo, with the trio expected to generate substantial revenue.

It is no secret that Barcelona are keen on the Portuguese full-back, while there are plenty of top sides showing interest in his teammates.

The strategy agreed at a recent meeting between owner Peter Lim, head coach Cesare Prandelli and sporting director Suso Garcia Pitarch is unlikely to go down well with the fans, who will want to see an improvement on the poor start to the season.

Valencia currently sit outside the La Liga relegation zone by virtue of goal difference alone, so no wonder the alarm bells are ringing at Mestalla.
