Valencia want Pereira permanently

Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira is currently on loan at Valencia, but the season-long deal is about to come to an end. The Spanish club are interested in making the switch permanent, the player has confirmed, but according to Sky Sports, he would prefer to return to Old Trafford and fight for a place in the team.

Jose Mourinho was disappointed with Pereira’s decision to leave on loan rather than stay and fight, and that’s something the midfielder intends to set right next season.

His stint at Valencia is his second successive season away from Manchester, having already spent a year at Granada where he made 35 league appearances and scored five times. This term at Mestalla he played 28 times and found the net once.

Valencia look set to qualify for next season’s Champions League, and for that reason they will try to keep the core of this season’s team intact. Pereira has only words of praise and gratitude for manager Marcelino, and believes he’s a much better player than a year ago.
