Van Basten urges Milan to sign Djuricic

Milan chairman Silvio Berlusconi has revealed that club legend Marco van Basten has recommended one player from Heerenveen.

Heerenveen boss Marco van Basten flew to Milan on Sunday and had dinner with Silvio Berlusconi ahead of the Rossoneri’s Serie A game against Juventus.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over the Bianconeri, Berlusconi revealed the Dutchman had spoken highly of a youngster from his current club.

“Van Basten has recommended to us a young player from Heerenveen,” Berlusconi told reporters.

The player in question is widely believed to be talented midfielder Filip Djuricic, who had previously been linked with a move to San Siro.

Djuricic, 20, has notified club chiefs that he wants to leave Heerenveen at the end of the season, and everything suggests Milan are leading the race for his signature.

Marco van Basten is a keen admirer of the player who has scored 2 goals and produced another 2 in 14 Eredivisie appearances this season.
