Mark van Bommel wants to stay at Bayern Munich but is looking for a longer deal than currently on offer. The Dutch international’s contract with the Bundesliga champions runs out at the end of the season.
Bayern had offered the player a 12-month extension and had hoped to have the deal signed by February. But Van Bommel would like a longer deal and doubts have been raised about his future at the club after Bayern signed Zenit player Anatoli Tymoschuk for next season.
