Van Nistelrooy drops retirement hint

Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed that he plans to end his playing career at Malaga.

The 35-year-old is still pondering whether to finish his career at the end of the season or to play on for another year.

“The choice is simple: I will either play for another year or quit at the end of this season,” Van Nistelrooy told Voetball International.

“I am certainly not going to play for another club after Malaga. I am now settled, we have a nice house in Marbella, and we certainly want to stay there in the coming years.”

The Dutch striker says he is satisfied with how things are going at Malaga.

“We are doing well, there is still a chance of playing European football next season. That would be a wonderful achievement.

”I arrived here first last summer in order to attract other players to join this project.”
